Slide Show

      Measurement                               Score

      Simplicity                                       5

      Fonts                                               4

      Colors                                             3

     Backgrounds                                    4

     Total                                                16 out of 20

The slide show, I did this because I thought it had everything. it had Simplicity,Colors, Fonts, and Backgrounds. So I rated Simplicity a 5, while somethings are a little tough to figure out, the majority is just click and type. Thats how easy a slideshow is. It's nothing, just do one little click of the mouse, and you can see previews, reviews, graphs, materials, fonts, and backgrounds. Almost anything.
For fonts I rated it a 4 because it didn't have all the fonts I would've expected it to have. But it had most of them. So I took it easy on the fonts because that was the only real fault that the slide show had. So I rated it a 4 out of 5.
I gave colors a 3 because it had the lowest out of any, and in this one it really didn't have as many colors to type with it got a 3 compared to the Comic Masters 5, it might be simile but it it was lacking diversity . Thats also another flaw in the in the Slide Show.
And for the backgrounds they got a 4 because even though they had less backgrounds than the comics. The Slide was way SIMPLER  than the Comic. So once again simplicity was a factor. The only reason that I didn't give the Slide the 5 was because it had less DIVERCITY than the Comic Strip. So it was simple and affective but had a less range of backgrounds compared to the Comics.

Comic MASTER

I rated simplicity on Comic designs a zero because the program was so frustrating to operate, I couldn't even begin the investigate part. I was stuck on typing in my email and making sure it was the right password. Then conforming it, so it took me forever to finish and sign in.When I did get into the Comic design I coolant figure the darn thing out. It was so irritating I was only able to pick up a few things for the comparison.
For fonts I rated it at a 2 because it had a couple of different fonts. It didn't have as many as the Slide show would have, but it had a considerable amount. Also some of them were pretty cool. Still this is where simplicity came into play it was just to difficult to comprehend. I had to drag towards it towards the comic strip, then I had to figure out how to make it smaller, it was just to much to hassle with.
Despite all the negatives I've written about it had some cool colors. The colors were a wide range of whites to browns to blacks ,and even had some purple in it. Basicly you name it had it. Even though it was still pretty hard to change the fonts and the simplicity. This one was also hard, but the wide ranges of colors  in the characters and backgrounds was so wide ranged that simplicity for me had and will not have for you.
And backgrounds were nearly the same as the color but it was wayyyyyyyyy more difficult. I could barley even make the backgrounds. But the backgrounds were still awesome they had woodlands, plains, and backyards. The wide range of backgrounds were astonishing. They were pretty easy to see but the simplicity was completely different it was amazingly hard.

Copy & paste into your blog and add to each stage as you progress through your project
Area of Interaction: Community and Service , Approaches to Learning & Human Ingenuity
Significant Concept: Design Cycle can be used to solve problems
Unit Question: How can my learning help my community? How do I make Sound Choices?
INVESTIGATE: (Write in complete sentences) Identify the Problem
1. What is the problem you need to solve? Explain to a 6th grader what the design cycle is all about by creating a presentation. (3d, PPT, movie, game, Poster)
2. How does the Design Cycle apply to the real world?
The design cycle will affect you in your life because if you run a business you need to design and plan, also to find out heat the problem is and solve it.
3. How will this project serve my community?
It will teach the 6th graders how to do something that was hard for us to learn. And we're trying to make it easy to win.
4. How can my learning help my community?
It will help the community learn more things; it will also help them teach others what to do.
5. How do we live in relation to each other?
FRIENDS
6. How does this help others?
Allows them to learn what we did.
7. What are the requirements for this assignment?
8. What is the Design Cycle?
REFLECT on your learning.
Day 2
9. Spend one day experimenting with DESIGN CYCLE your presentation. List five things your learned about the Design Cycle:
Day 3
Design Brief
10. Write a short statement of what you are going to make, why you are going to make it, and for whom you are making it.
Formulate a Design Specification
11. What are the requirements for this assignment?
12. What are the limitations you have with this assignment?
13. How will you "test" your presentation?
REFLECT ON YOUR LEARNING
PLAN:
14. Brainstorm ideas. Use the chart below
IB Brainstorming Chart .pdf found in schoology under “materials”& then files
15. What idea did you choose to demonstrate the design cycle and why did you choose it?
16. Does your idea meet all of the requirements?
17. Use the story board paper below to plan your presentation.  Include how many levels you will have, what will be on each level, how will you include teaching skills to young students, and what will your questions be about.
story board.pdf found in schoology under “materials” & then files.
18. Explain how you will use your time to get your project finished in 12 days:
REFLECT on your learning
EVALUATE:
20. How could you improve your presentation?
21. Does your presentation meet all of the requirements?
22. Share your presentation with at least 2-8th, 3-9th, 4-10th+ friends. What did he/she like about your presentation?
23. Reflect on all the steps of the Design Cycle. What did you do well? What do you need to improve?
24. Were you responsible in using the software, Internet, pictures, and computer?
25. How can my learning help my community?
26. What grade do you deserve on this project? (1 - 6)

ATTITUDE:
27. Reflect on your attitude on each step of the Design Cycle. Did you completely answer each step without complaining, being a whiny baby, or saying "it's too hard". Explain your answer:
28. What grade do you deserve on your attitude? (1 - 6)
